Stay true; don’t be blue.

In lieu of the Zero to Hero Challenge, I have followed through on Day 27’s task and have revisited and revised my “About Me” page.

Check it out:

Definition of rockabella: The female version of psychobilly and/or rockabilly.

A blue-eyed rockabella from Vegas venturing down a road of self-improvement.  The pride and joys of my life are my husband and two little dogs. I am learning that life is far too short to miss out on that last shot of vodka, to not get that tattoo just yet, to not dye my hair whatever color I please. I can be a negative Nancy, a pessimistic Polly and a mean Molly – but I’m working on it. It takes a lot of energy to constantly be positive and I’m neither motivated nor concerned with making other people like me. I  love my ’98 Jeep, Rammstein, Lord of the Rings and steampunk – most of all, I love rockabilly, psychobilly and the lifestyle associated with both.

I write about what inspires me, what I buy, what I want to improve on, life experiences and my thoughts (good and bad). Above all else, I ask you to challenge meContrary to popular belief, yes, your writing can always improve. Take constructive criticism and don’t whine.

Let’s just sum this up, shall we? (Zero to Hero Challenge: Days Twenty Seven through Day Thirty)

The challenge started off strong, I was on task and then life happened, I got off task and every day, I find myself telling myself finish the damn challenge already.

I caught myself up to day 27 on Thursday, proceeded to read through the remainder of the challenges and discovered I would only continue to be writing fluff blogs, with no real purpose, in response to the daily tasks placed before us. So, to be quite succinct:

Day 27: Revisit a task or a post.

I will revisit the task of, once again, rewording my “About Me” section and perhaps adding an FAQ, though, I’ve yet to receive any questions. I was also contemplating starting a “just-for-fun” poll every now and again to see the response it elicits from people.

Day 28: Build on your popular content.

I will dig through my previous posts and find the one that received the most attention and follow-up on that with another blog. I haven’t found the time to do the research yet, but I promise that I will. I’m ready to start delving into other blog posts and have found an insatiable thirst to write down the millions of thoughts that go through my mind every day. I need a little notebook to keep on me at all times…

Day 29: Create an editorial calendar.

Regular feature? Let’s say pin-up clothing reviews and polls.

Day 30: Think big picture.

Deal. Let’s move on and away from this challenge and let’s start getting our hands dirty in the blogging world where all things are possible.

This girl is tired of the fluff blogs. Moving on!

This girl is tired of the fluff blogs. Moving on!

Thank you, Zero to Hero challenge, for aiding me in bettering my blog and myself. But, for now, it’s time to bid adieu.

Thanks for reading!
